Member Testimony

"My wife and I had been staying in a refugee shelter for about twenty days, and we were worried because we didn’t know what we were going to do. I remember that one day, there was a flier that was placed in the shelter, that said the city had good news for us. It was that they were [working with El Centro] to implement a program called Work Ready. For us, it was a light that shined on us in that moment, and that marked a route for us to continue on here in this city."
